Leather smell changes

Hi hope you all having a good day. So basically all my leather jackets have a strange smell when i wear it outside and one of them is my aero black Chromexcel fqhh, Is there any explanation for the smell changes?

Do you live near a waste water treatment or rendering plant? As you only notice the smell when outside maybe it's something other than the jacket(s).

No actually but when i smell my jacket it smells different like not disgusting but an odd smell * my jackets is always clean and conditioned *

Wet leather smells different. Are they dry? Is it super-humid outside? If not, if everything seems normal, and they smell different inside and outside, I'd see a doctor.

I have never noticed this trait with any jacket made of Horween CXL - Steerhide or Horsehide.

Musty , Smokey , earthy , chemical etc ? When in direct sun for a while my Vanson has more intensified leather smell.. combining that with fresh air it produces a wonderful sent … I sniff it repeatedly when I’m in neutral.

I have not noticed this on leather jackets, but I do notice a slight smell on cotton clothes after I wear them outside for an extended period. Is it a metallic kind of smell? I notice the same smell slowing accumulating in water when I sit outside at a restaurant in my drinking water. It probably sounds wacky, but after noticing this for years, only when outside: my best explanation, because it’s a metallic smell, is it could be some kind of pollution that’s in the air.

Not sure if that’s the same thing you are talking about, though.
