Nice! Does it have the little clob of green where the sweat band is sewed together can't remember what that is called

You mean the verdigris from the brass ferrule on the reed corroding? Some of my hats have it, some don't. The mode edge does a little.

That's what I meant they are older right?

My guess is late 40's to early 50's on these. One has the stars in the crest, one has the leaf. If I understand correctly this changed in the early 50's. Others could date them more accurately than I.

They're both Stetson Twenty's as well.

Thanks Harv and Moon. These darker colored hats have fallen out of the rotation for the summer. Probably won't wear them again til September or October.

I was sorry to see this thread fade so fast. I was hoping to see some more Sovereigns. There is a Sovereign Twenty thread but it doesn't have too many more Sovereign's in it.
