Looking for a top hat maker.

I cant imagine how many people today would actualy want to wear a top hat . Its a far cry from 100 years ago when most men had two top hats in their wardrobe: a silk topper and a collapsable opera top hat.

Texas Hatters in Lockhart, Texas used to make them. I don't know much about the details of their top hat because I've never looked closely at one. You can call David and ask him about them. He is a very nice guy. Below is their website.

I have yet to wear my vintage P. & C. Habig. I got it as a collectors piece and to admire the workmanship. I know in England there are society gatherings and special events (for example Royal Ascot) wear they are worn with the appropriate formal wear (see the link for Charlie's blog for more info) .
