Hi..folks

I'm Johan from Holland. and in the possesion of Lost Worlds and Aero jackets HH's
My size is 42.

Lost World:
1x Suburban (black/satin lining)
2x Downtown (black/alpaca lining) size 40 and 44.

Aero Leathers:
1x Halfbelt (black/alpaca lining)
1x A2 " Anniversary".

The LW jacket and coats are superb
I love the thik (bodyarmour like) leather ...only the 2 Suburbans doesn't fit.
So i think im gonna sell them on ebay.

The Aero's are fine products.

But according to me..alpaca is not as durable as wool.
And the zippers of the LW and Aero are not that though..
I'm gonna send my Halfbelt to Aero so they can replace the zipper.

I'll place some pics of the jackets next time.

Hi, Johan. Welcome! It sounds like you have some very heavy-duty utility jackets; I am looking forward to your pictures.

Good evening all..
My name is Knut, and I am living in Lillehammer, Norway.
I have read posts on this site for a long time with the greatest interest.
Here where I live, it is unfortunately little or no interest in classical leather
jackets and hats etc. Therefore greatly appreciate to read about the like-minded on Fedora.
I have a brown Aero Highwayman FQHH with Alpacca lining, and an Eastman Monarch A-2.
The Alpacca lining is a good option here with temperatures down to 20-25 degrees Celsius
below zero....
Sorry for my English spelling...

Your English is far better than my Norwegian or Dutch. Welcome to the board from across the world!

Also, given the current 4-degree windchills in New York, I've been wondering how good alpaca is in cold cold weather--many thanks.

Welcome

I hate to have to contribute to this, but it's 40 below with 50 to 60 below windchills right now in Minnesota, and if you've ever heard some one from around here speak English, no one on this forum has anything to appologize for. It's so cold I just bought one of those funky heavy lined G-8's because my traditional sweater and G-1 was like wearing a t-shirt; so remember, it can always be worse! Best wishes, Omar
