Lost Worlds now offering Steerhide - Chrome tanned

Just saw this on the Lost Worlds site.
There is a price difference, and Stuart gives some solid explanation of it in the model J24 offering page.

Anyone here have anything made of LW Steerhide yet?

I think a side-by-side comparison of both would be cool to see - grain, texture, etc.

I jumped to the LW site to see whether this offered any opportunity to buy a new LW at more modest cost.. unfortunately it appears as if the prices for HH were increased steeply and the steerhide versions now cost what previously was the HH price.

I checked e.g. the Suburban which was 1500 for HH, now it is 1850 (+23%) and the cowhide version is 1500..

Shame. If this option had brought back prices to 1k-ish, I mightve jumped at a style or two.

Only thing I’ve seen in the steer so far are a few pics of a Jeans Trucker from the site

So looks like he does offer it in navy too

Curious as to why he refers to the brown steer as “mahogany” on some pages and “russet” on others - side by side with the russet horse would be cool to see
