I watched Love Crazy today. It was quite a funny film. Here's a synaposis of the story from IMDB.com. This was my first Powell-Loy film to watch. I tivo-ed The Thin Man too and look forward to watching that one too.

Steve and Susan Ireland are about to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary by re-enacting their first date. When Susan's meddling mother interrupts and injures herself. Steve is left to take care of her and when he meets an old flame in the elevator--Susan's mother takes the opportunity to break-up their marriage. She convinces Susan that Steve is cheating on her-Susan files for divorce. Steve has one solution to save his marriage...Pretend he is insane.

TCM ran a Powell-Loy mini marathon the other day, I watched The Thin Man and half of the next picture but then I fell asleep. They'll probably run them at odd times during the month.

That is one of my favorites--Libeled Lady is great, too. And The Thin Man series just can't be beat :)
Super, I tivo-ed that one too but just haven't watched it yet. I also watching I Love You Again (where POwell gets amnesia) but wasn't as tickled pink with that movie. It was just okay.

I heard the Thin Man box set did so well that Warner Home Video is going to put out a box set of the remaining Powell/Loy movies!

Sincerely,
The Wolf

A funny movie indeed; how I dream or envy being in that time period. William Powell and Myrna Loy were great, I especially laughed at the scene were Myrna met Jack Carson later (the Bow & arrow guy) and said something like “I didn’t recognized you with your clothes on” priceless. :)

I own that movie, I taped it off of TCM a few years back... I love that movie!!! It also has Jack Carson in it... I really like him too!

One of my favorite parts is when they're in bed and Steve asks Susan who that man was...

Steve:
Honey, who was that man?

Susan:
Oh, he's the world's best Bow & arrower!

lol lol lol Classic!

Very good news indeed! Any movie with William Powell or Myrna Loy is great. When they're together, it's a little slice of heaven.

He did

Since he never looks bad, it must have been him.

Last week I saw him in a beret - looked grand. And last night, breeches for riding, same deal.
