LOVELY NWOT FOOTBALL NEEDLEPOINT BELT

Total length of strap: 41 1/2"

Needlepoint belts were sometimes referred to as "break-up belts". They were often adoringly and painstakingly handmade for a loved significant other..... But this process took so long that often the conompletion and bestowal of the belt occured only just before the end of the relationship!
Luckily, needlepoint belts are now more frequently bought than made, and so the ethical issue of whether you should wear a belt after breaking up with its maker is no longer as pressing.
This is a lovely belt--new, without its tags, and depicting football players. The needlepoint is backed with leather and the belt is secured with a metal buckle. It is almost certainly imported--the cost of labor precludes needlepoints being made in the USA at a cost that is commercially viable.
