Wow, this Aero is beautiful. Love the button front and the collar and the breast pocket built into the piping is very cool. Not sure I see two tone, but damn nice, regardless.

Hmmmm----sized as 40", yet underarm seam to seam is only 19" ???

I am sure he measured from the front seams pit to pit without taking the side panels into account. Measured correctly pit to pit is certainly 21 inches like the other jacket.

I owned one a few years ago. Yes, the jacket has a nice pattern, but the hide was thin. Only for summer weather . This one is listed as "Heavy russet steerhide shell", strange.

Ken told me it looks and wears best with thinner hides or in whipcord. He said the drape is awkward with heavy leather.

I really like this jacket, and they are both my size.
My problem is with the collar...a little too "pimp" for my taste.

Yes, a heavy weight hide I'm sure it wouldn't be ok for this pattern, but this was a little to thin for my taste. My middleweight HH GW Ventura (3 oz HH) was 2.1 kg and the Levis HB only 1.4 kg. I found it way too flimsy for an all day jacket.

All I can think of is the 70's with those. It would have been great in American Hustle. Not knocking it, just not my thing.

I like it. i see what Eric and Scott are saying about the 70s pimp swag. but considering that a lot of late 60d early 70s style was heavily influenced on pre WWII garb, it makes sense. Or at least for when I'm out hustlin'
