I couldn't find a thread on them so I started my own.

I love army jackets. I have small collection.

I posted my WWII M-43 on my blog and though I'd share it here too...

yes, basically. It also didn't have a zipper. Mine does, but that's not issue. they did have a hood that buttons on though.

Here is me with mine on. The M43 is a great jacket beacuse the way the pockets are made you can overstuff them with a lot. I really want the liner to go with it. I have the hood to go with it.

I am fortunate to have had a father-in-law(RIP) who kept all his uniforms from 1940 through 1946. The M-1943 has a few minor stains, but otherwise is in good shape. Marked a size 36,I was surprised that my size 40 body is not suffocated by it. It is comfortable and does allow adequate movement. There is a leather name tag similar to what you see on A-2's sewn to the
left side. The hood is in excellent condition.
