I found this excellent condition, size 7, Melton New York hat made from real fur with a brown leather band and gold accent while thrifting. It’s currently for sale on Poshmark. I knew it seemed special when I saw it. I haven’t been able to find out much about it or The Art of Melton Hat Company.

Your hat appears to be of fairly recent manufacture. It’s not of a time or quality that will get the most interest here. It looks to me to share common characteristics of hats made by the Bollman Hat Co., but that’s just a guess. You might want to look here:
