I've seen on a lot of golden-era suits, there's a special type of button I suppose you would call "double sided" on single-breasted suits. You could choose to button normally, or use the button on the inner side of the jacket. I'm not quite sure of the name. I would've searched, but I don't know the name.

I didn't notice he was referring to that picture until you point it out. Probably subconsciously if I just decided to ask, however.
Link buttons are pretty neat- are they just got cosmetics, or is there a special function they serve?
