Recently saw the Patrick Stewart version of Moby **** ... again. Love that film. Anyway, it got me thinking about the hats used in the production. Does anyone know what was being worn by Mr Stewart? And the cap by young Ishmael?

I don't have any photo stills, so I'm hoping someone here saw the film and took note.

Off-topic:

1 - The picture reminds me: I love that Mr. Starbuck was played by the same guy who plays Captain Stottlemeyer on Monk. (He was so familiar-but-different: it drove me crazy until I finally looked it up.)

2 - Alas, I am always underwhelmed by these Robert Halmi-produced Patrick Stewart TV remakes. I think the 1956 John Huston film with Gregory Peck is vastly better, even if neither is an "ideal" adaptation.

As much as I like the Peck version, I still feel that this one had a much better atmosphere about it. Granted, that could very well be due to the technology available now compared to the earlier filming. Note that Peck was also in this production, albeit for a few short minutes.
