Most recent find.... A Penney's Marathon

This is my most recent acquisition. It's a Penney's Marathon. The color is a light tan. The brim is 2 7/8". Thin ribbon with a matching brim ribbon. The crown is 4 1/2" creased. It appears to have been worn very little. It's in fine condition with no damage whatsoever. I'm quite pleased with this hat, and for once, it's my size...7 1/4.
Anybody familiar with the liner? I'd appreciate it if anyone can date this hat. I'm guessing mid 60's???? Anybody have an idea? Thanks

Great looking hat!!!!!!!! I believe it is older than that, 50's or late 40's. I think most of the ones in the 60's had the large red M for the emblem. But don't take that as gospel. See below:

Razzman, I have the exact same Marathon, color, liner and all.

Like Duck said, mid-1950s at the latest, perhaps from the 1940s. It has a brown sweatband and those gave way to the black ones, what, during the early 1960s?

Razz, I too have a Marathon just like yours, I also believe its from the mid to late 40's.
They are really nice hats.
