Here is a series of pictures of repairs I have done. These are all 'after' pics. With the Silverbelly you can see some darker dots and one larger one in the middle of the crown front. The repairs are visible upon close inspection but the hat is vintage/restored and not pristine clean. The felt was mottled a bit so the repairs blended in fairly well.
The grey hat there is a major repair on the brim edge. You can spot the darker area at about 3:00 O'clock.
