Donned my Aero Irvin, fired up the old WW2 Dispatch Norton and wobbled off to the 306th Bombardment Museum at Thurleigh.

An original munitions hut filled with memorabilia including flight jackets both RAF and US. Its run by Ralph Franklin and his wife. Ralph worked at the watch tower at Thurleigh for 38 years.

A great couple, and a great place to visit if you are ever in Bedfordshire.

Nice A2 Donated by its original owner. Top row second from left.

Is this a wearings?

Great pictures James. The well preserved A2 may well be a Poughkeepsie and the Irvin could be by one of several makers, but probably not Wareings.

Excellent photo's. Thanks for sharing. One of my must do trips is a car trip around the UK checking out as many museums and airfields as I can. Big and small. Plus I think a few old pubs to boot!
