In cold water you say? Air temp was 15. I was close to sweating.

HI guys, newbie to the forum here.

I have worked outdoors all my life, including Alaska in February and marine construction 12 month a year on the great lakes.

I learned the hard way that Thor knows what he is talking about.

I have a large collection of old Carhart work wear although I preferred the Walls bibs with the zipper up the front instead of the button/rivets on the side.

One drawback to the Carhart's is that they quickly lose their water resistance and need to be treated with scotchguard regularly. Weekly if you are really active.

Quick question, how does that marine survival gear hold up to welding? Probably put a wool blanket over it but that would limit the mobility.

Be that what it may be, I am working inside now which is a good thing at my age.

Regards,
Crankster
