Old Borsalinos Found

Hello, I found three Borsalino hats, I believe they are women’s, they seem to have been stored inappropriately as they have a few little marks on them, per google lens they are moth holes. I believe they are clean and do not have bugs on them, I got one of those brushes and just softly cleaned them. As I am not familiar with them, I would like to know if they are valuable as they are maybe to someone who could repair the little damage they have. The structure of the hats seems great and the inside clean and not worn much.

Always nice to find a few Borsalinos. The first is a women's hat, the other two are men's hats. Repairing moth holes is a difficult job and convincing results are rare. As they are not that old (1990's) and of a common size I would say the value wouldn't justify the cost of repair (if you can even find someone for that kind of job).

I agree with Steur. In my restoration business I do undertake moth nibble repairs. It is painstaking, time consuming and on the lighter coloured felts hard to repair invisibly. Much easier on dark coloured felts. But as it is so time consuming generally it only makes sense on valuable vintage hats or those with great sentimental value.

Thank you for your responses, that helps a lot. They do look pretty even if not valuable maybe will make a good costume.
