GREAT resource for how hats looked !! Interesting how none of the soft felt hats all were NOT perfect, but reflected their use and owners !!

I came across this photo of former sports writers for the Fort Worth Press from the 1950s. I just love this photo for some reason. They look like "real" reporters!

Here's a picture described as being taken in Llano Texas in 1890 at some sort of celebration.
I was surprised, upon enlarging it that many of the hats were of a more 'modern' style than I would have expected from that date
