How does size effect value?

How do you grade the damage?

How does damage change the value?

Are certain contracts worth more than others?

How much, if at all, does a named jacket effect value?

If the jacket is named and has traceable combat history how does that change the value?

How does original artwork effect value?

How does a professionally restored jacket compare to an unrestored jacket? What If the unrestored is in worse condition than the restored?

Should holes be patched/stabilized or left alone?

Are certain model flight pants more sought-after?

Original zipper?

NOS replacement zipper?

Repro zipper?

Valuing vintage jackets is a tricky business because so much depends on a combination of size, condition, the contract, provenance and of course rarity. Too often people use forums and FB groups to get a free valuation of their jacket(s) before advertising them for sale elsewhere and making a nice profit. For this reason indulging even in hypothetical valuations and the weight assigned to the various criteria is not something serious collectors normally engage in.

Type stuff / jackets worth as much as what is the present value for the owner. are the things they have sentimental value, no material
IMHO
