I recently just bought a 1969 Kersey. The tag has it marked as a 46R. I wasn't sure if it would be long enough for me (I'm just under 6'-3"). Surprisingly it fits great. The sleeve length and body length are fine. It fits me almost the same as my 1969 Kersey 44L. I would have thought that the sleeves and body length would be too short for me, but they were not. How consistent are the sizes of the '50s and '60s Kersey coats? Are there certain years which are larger, smaller or shorter then others? Will a '50s 46 fit the same as a '60s 46? I usually need a long or tall in coats, shirts, etc. I'm wondering if I can get by without finding these peacoats in L sizes since they are very scarce.
