Peschel?

So I buzzed down to Portland for the antiques & collectibles thing, where I picked up a '30s-vintage Waltham watch and three old lids -- a Mallory that oughta clean up OK; a light blue 3X Mode Edge Stetson (ditto); and a velour felt, Czeckoslovakian thing called a Peschel, which seems to be a pretty decent hat.
So, anyone got much experience with these Peschels? Or know much about 'em, such as when they were made? Are they still in production? There's a lot to like with this one I just scored. The felt has a nice feel. (But very little if any stiffener; it's floppy as hell.) And the sweatband and the ribbon and the liner all appear to be of a decent-or-better quality.
All in all, a pretty good shopping expedition. I almost came away with a cashmere coat as well, but I figured that might push the boss lady's patience.

Tony, sorry I missed you at the show, however I did see that velour hat. A woman vendor was wearing it when I talked to her about it. It's so soft a gentle breeze will put a dent in the crown. I've never heard of it, but it looked like a very nice hat.

Yeah, that's gotta be the same one. A tallish gal, right? I commented on her hat and she asked me if I wanted to buy it.
Did you happen to see that dirty, size 7 Stetson ******* with the sweatband dye bleeding through the felt that the guy wanted 60 bucks for? Sheesh. Or that size 7 1/8 brown 3X Stetson those people were asking 65 for? It wasn't in bad shape, really, and it would probably stretch up to fit me, but I walked away when they put on their expert hats and told me that the 3X lids were the best Steson ever made.
Next time keep an eye out for me. I'm easy to find in a crowd -- I'm the guy who looks real stupid.

Tony, I saw all those hats you mentioned and yeh the guy laid the same line on me about the 3X Stetson, my friend was going to go back and offer him 45 for it, but then we saw another guy wearing it. He said he got it for 55. There is another show March 1st, maybe I'll see you then.
