Just bought a vintage Pilgrim C crown...what is known about this brand?

Im not 100% sure but I think it was the brand name for JC Pennys line of hats.

I thought that was Marathon. I think Montgomery Wards was Brent. So Pilgrim could have been a Sears brand but I thought they had Bond brand hats. [huh] Pilgrim hats I know little about. I don't even own one so newspapercowboy---you did good. We need pictures.

If it was the one on eBay last week...it IS a nice hat! I have a Pilgrim and it is one of the best all around hats in my fleet! It looks great and has held up very well despite a lot of use. Maybe not the most expensive hat when new, but it has certainly survived the test of time. As I understand it, Pilgrim hats were sold by Sears and without a doubt, had some of the best ribbon treatments that you'll find anywhere outside of custom. I would buy another (five or six) in a heartbeat!
