Boy, that thing has seen some things in its life I bet. Very, very cool.
1910s Stetson 3x beaver
Wow! I don't recall this liner and sweat logo (then again, I don't recall a lot of things). Beautiful hat!
1930s Stetson Standard Quality Zephyr Weight
Hat is a green heather finish, with felt fibers of brown, blue-green, and white

Has a "Bon Ton Ivy" styled sweatband attachment mechanism, which results in a "floating" sweatband. Never seen this before, and believe it to have been a custom order for the Eakle store.
Color is a grey heather with a variety of different shaded grey felt fibers.

I have such a sweatband on a Straw boater hat and have seen others..on straws and one unlined summer weight felt...My understanding was it was expressly for "summer hats" and I have never seen such a treatment on a lined hat.
Hat is simply fantastic by the way.......
That's what I thought first: The sweatband on straw hats/boaters I own or have seen is constructed in this way.
And isn't it the same construction like you showed on the brown 1920s/30s Eakle?
AMAZING hat. Is this one going up on ebay? I think it will fly......a little high for me but still fun to watch!
Thanks, M! I've never seen it in person until now, so it is awesome to have it in hand. Hat is super light, and the felt coloration style is pretty similar to the Zephyr weight, in regards to how it is slightly "heathered", and feels very similar.
You would be correct, this is my first time ever owning a hat with it, but it looks to be similar to that other Eakle. I wish I knew who made that one, but I think they were a special order run from Eakle himself, as my Schoble from him reads "Designed by Eakle, Made by Schoble", which points to him designing and ordering custom runs.
This one is going to stay in my personal collection, for a while at least!
Nice new collection, Justin... great to have some new additions to this thread!
Thank you very much, Alan!
