Howdy!

I was thinking of going as a press photographer from the 40s for halloween and since I'm such a snob for details I wanted to know if anyone had a good example of one of the presscards commonly found in the hatbands of those stereotyped newspaper guys. I think I've only seen them in cartoons come to think of it.

I know there are some in the props sets at http://www.cthulhulives.org/ but I don't know if there are any there in the freebie sets. I bought the prop CD sets three or four years ago for a show I was peripherally involved with, and I've used various other items from the sets since. I don't have time to go through what's on the website - if you don't find it, let me know.

Good luck on your costume! I never think ahead this far. My back up plan is always Lois Lane, but I suppose it's not really a costume since I'm a reporter every day of the year.

I recall an episode of the Three Stooges where they were posing as reporters in order to sneak into a boxing arena and Moe and Larry passed through security with PRESS cards on their hats but Curly's card read PULL.......lol

Twill, thanks for your picture heavy posts. That Hunter Thompson pass is fantastic! I think I'm going to set out to copy that one. Or maybe an amalgam of all of them. It's a good time to be a graphic arts student.

No problem. I like doing that kinda thing. I knew nothing about old press passes before, and now I do!

That Hunter Thomas one was my favorite as well. Show us some pictures when you get your costume together.
