Do all felt hats like fedoras have binding on the brim? Is it a necessity? My boyfriend likes these hats and we were just wondering about it. I told him I thought they all had it.

To Echo MK, fedora brims come numerous ways. I think the binding adds a touch of class to most hats, though I hated it when I was younger. Now, I think I prefer brim bindings. There are a couple kinds of hats that I think always have a brim binding (correct me if I'm wrong, anybody). Like the Homburg.
