Ray Nance, Last of the Bedford Boys, Dies at 94

Ray Nance, of Company A, 116th Infantry, 29th Infantry Division, died yesterday in Bedford, VA. Nothing I can say here can possibly explain the sacrifices made by this small community during World War II. But I can definitely recommend Alex Kershaw's book, The Bedford Boys . And if you're ever near Bedford, a visit to the national D-Day Memorial is something that should not be missed.

This is another sad indication that the WWII generation is passing on. What a shame. Here's a toast to their courageous deeds. :cheers1:
