Renovations, Restorations, and Cleanings Oh My!

Hi Y'all,

I don't know if you all remember the thread I posted about wanting to know who does cleanings and renovations, and a lot of you helped out with some names, but on that note, after a week of being open and taking in a couple fixer uppers to experiment on, we have decided to do what we can to renovate and clean, on a case by case basis. I hope this thread isn't taken as self promotion, because we really just want people to know that we are another new option, and one of few in California, that can help clean and restore the old beauties out there.

Myself and the ladies believe strongly in sustainability, and in keeping objects alive as long as possible, and even if the profit margin is smaller on fixer uppers than on making new hats, it's something we believe in and something that we believe is important in developing relationships with new customers and hat wearers. If any of you have questions about restorations or fixing hats, feel free to let me know anytime!

Paulette, do you do sewing of sweatbands back onto hat bodies for vintage hats? I just bought a nice vintage hat off Ebay but it needs the leather sweatband sewn back on. Do you do that kind of thing in your business?

We can definitely sew a sweatband back in, and we can also replace it if need be.

Cool! I live in San Jose, and I work weekends right now, but when my shift rotates I'll make a trip up there on a Saturday, and the wife and I can enjoy the city after dropping the hat off with you.

Excellent!
