Less than the usual vintage, but a great hat from 50 years ago, Rafael was a fashion brand founded by Bill Kaiserman, a New York retail salesman turned hat maker who made a significant impact on American fashion in the 1970s. The brand was known for introducing the "leisure aesthetic" to the American market, the leisure suit, among other fashion. In his hat designing period he had ones like these produced (not sure by whom). A great felt (surely outsourced) and great construction and finishing. These days you'd have to go the custom route to get these looks.. This one has a 3 1/8" bound inch brim and a 5" crown. Great stats!
