Found out my lady had to leave her cat of 13 years at the Humane Society. (UNLESS SOMEONE HERE IN THE BAY AREA, CALIFORNIA CAN TAKE HER!)

At 13, unlikely the cat will be adopted. Might of been kinder to do the right thing and have your own vet put her down.
