I had one a few years ago and noted that the leather was tougher and less flexible than that on the Perfecto jackets. I didn’t rate my Cycle rider as highly as my Perfecto and soon sold it. With hindsight I think it would have been the safer jacket of the two to be wearing on a motorbike given the tougher leather (though by no means as safe as modern protective gear). I’ve read that the Cycle Rider range was produced for sale in Motor cycle shops. Check out the Schott Forum for more information. https://www.schottnyc.com/forum/posts/613_cycle_rider.htm
As a CHP enthusiast, I think Schott Cycle Rider really nice. That's the no. 621 model if I'm not wrong (or 613, 625, 651...). Gail from Schott said in a post: The Cycle Rider label represents a special exclusive line of jackets produced by Schott for Motorcycle sales and accessory retailers only.
