Saw this off Netflix with Mark Wahlberg as a Marine sniper. He's framed as a fall guy by members of our shadow government and proceeds to clear himself and later seek revenge.

Ya gotta like this stuff with ultra long range sniper kills, stuff blowing up and some hand to hand or you won't like the film. No love interest or suspence- just straightforward action.

The disc has a nice "how we did the movie" that is worthwhile and explains a lot.

Haven't seen it yet but it sounds good to me.

Yeah, kinda scary that Marky Mark can really make 1000 yd. shots. It kept me going until the next Bourne film.

Stephen Hunter wrote the book Point of Impact on which the movie Shooter was loosely based. Of course the book was MUCH better. I really wish the producers had retained Bob Lee Swagger's southern heritage.

You owe it to yourself to read the books and those based on the character of Bob Swagger's father Earl. One of Hunter's best is Pale Horse Coming featuring Earl Swagger.
