My parents raised 9 kids in this house and we raised two here ourselves. Original part of the house was built in 1895

Noticed a thread recently about the lack of a thread like this on the FL, so I thought I'd step out of my newbie shoes and start a real one. If you've got pics to share of your vintage house/apartment/condo/other living space, show them off here!

I'll start off with my loft in downtown Fort Worth. I've got some vintagey decor, but a lot of it comes from the loft itself - on the fourth floor of a 1929 office building.

My fiance and I LOVE that building. Applause to you for living there... We ooh and ahh every time we pass it. Can't wait to get out of school and move 20 minutes over into Fort Worth.

The dining area. The walls here have since been painted turquoise. It's open plan so this is sort of the same room as the living room.

I am new to your forum and just lurking about. I love everything old and historic! Here is my money pit, a circa-1918 Dutch Colonial:

I finally found a nice old sink I can use to rebuild my modern kitchen into a 1930's kitchen.

missjoeri, That sink is great. Your additional pictures on flickr.com really show how much in love you are with your home. Bravo on a wonderful job. Your vintage collection is beautiful. I'm absolutely in love with your sofa. It is a gem.

Thank you Mary, I'm goin' to post more photos soon of the living room.

Ah, I knew the heater would concern some people... now, the trick to a safe vintage heater is the cord and plug; if the plug stays cool wile plugged in, it's safe to use. I'm starting a vintage heater thread over in Golden Era... I'm goin' to give tips and info on use of them and what to buy and what not to buy. Here's a link: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?p=533308#post533308

Everyone has some amazing places! Ranging from the 30's to the 60's... it's nice to see people getting into the eras they enjoy.

Let's see more!

Just took a look at your Flicker pix - what a fabulous job of decorating you've done! Amsterdam School is my absolute favorite design aesthetic.

Here are some photos of our one-room apartment in Amsterdam where my wife and I lived until we moved to Canada last year. Before we moved to A'dam we had been renting it for 3 or 4 years - here's what it looked like before the tenant moved out:

And this is what I did to it:

Pretty much all 30s-40s Dutch except for the Amsterdam School chandelier which is 1920s and the chimney decoration which is my homage to Hague School design.

We rented it to a friend when we moved to Canada. We'll probably sell it and find something a bit bigger when we eventually return to A'dam.
