Silk Felt Fedoras

While on the Winchester tour we watched a felt body being buffed on a machine as a final step in the process....It resulted in a velour-kind-of-a-finish that my wife really liked. Is there a better term than velour? Anyway, I am wondering if anyone owns such a buffed silk-finish fedora and would post pictures? I would love to see actual hats made out of such felt.

This is a Borsalino Leo with a velour finish, a lustrous nap, like that of fine velvet.

It's sometimes called an angora finish too...
