Silk maps

I just obtained a silk War Office escape map. Does anyone know whether these were worn as scarves, or only in tyhe lining, or tucked away somewhere?

No, but it is very similar to yours, only different area en dates:

Bushire Restricted.
Tehr?ɬ°n Restriced.
Published bij War Office 1942.
Fourth Edition GSGS 1951.
