I'm selling a size 40 horsehide Joe Mccoy's jacket called "Yardbird" (I believe this is the same model: https://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/lightningstyle/diary/201403040000/ or http://www.0308.net/jrblog/2012/01/index_3.php). The jacket was originally bought from a member on this forum, see this Classified post: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/brown-real-mccoys-yardbird-30s-jacket-40-medium.93930/.

Reason for selling: the jacket is a little big on me. I have only tried it on at home and have not worn it outside. This is a catch-and-release. I bought the jacket for $1000. I would like to transfer it to a new owner for $800. I'm located in Massachusetts, US and shipping cost(whether domestic US or international) can be negotiated.

Feedback as buyer and seller: please see my Ebay profile at https://www.ebay.com/usr/danth.us.wssa3db. Feel free to message me on Ebay for verification.
  • the outside is horsehide (possibly Polish?) while the lining is smooth (possibly silk?).
  • no leather tear or smell.

The jacket is size 40. Here are the measurements using a straight metal measuring tape, with the jacket laid flat on a hard surface. There are some differences between my measurements and the ones provided in this post, so I re-measured with 2 different measuring tapes and I believe my measurements are more accurate.

  • chest width (pit to pit) is 20.5 in.
  • shoulder width (shoulder tip to shoulder tip) is 17.5 in.
  • sleeve lenth (shoulder tip to end of sleeve in the middle) is 24.5 in.
  • back length (from bottom of collar to bottom of the back) is 24.5 in.
  • waist is 19 in (completely relaxed). The waist measurement is taken at where the belt buckle side adjusters are (see the second to last pic). Each side adjuster can be tightened up to 0.5 inch or so.

Thank you for looking! Please let me know if you have questions.
