I haven't had a lot of opportunities to share my short films to folks so here are a few I'd to share with the loungers. I hope you enjoy. :)

Night Of The Living Doll - Silent/Horror

And One - Silent/Sports/Fantasy

Big Geno's Money - Crime, One Minute Film

Family - Silent/Sentimental

Star Trek Green Screen Test

No Title, No Story - Silent/Art Film

Grover! - Beast Trailer

Lobster's Day Out - Silent/Comedy

The Torture Chamber - Crime/Drama

and last but not least,

Chaplin and Shaplin - Silent/Comedy

A little side note on Chaplin and Shaplin. The day began when I walked out into my backyard with a handful of random costumes. It wasn't until halfway through shooting it that it was to be a Charlie Chaplin type picture.
There was no story until it got into the cutting room.

Are these movies that you yourself made? Nicely done. I watched the torture chamber one. I'll see more when I can.

yes they are. All of them except for Charlie and Sharlie were made during high school. That's now four years ago. :) Thank you for watching the Torture Chamber. I received a large applause from my film class for that one.

I've wanted to do a longer movie, but have not yet had the capability, at least with enough to work with. A friend of mine did do one 45 movie which I was his second hand on. NOVEMBER TOUCH is it's name. Very good movie. Do student type films interest you, may I ask?

If anyone else is interested in taking a peep in here, perhaps say something, I'd really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy them.

How do you define a student type film?

A student film is usually made by a student or students, featuring other students in the acting roles, or certified actors and actresses. It generally has a certain home movie-ish look to it. At least for high school and below. It really depends. Some students have access to better equipment than others, which in turn, makes the student film look more professional, because it was filmed that way. College students are the majority that have such
access-abilities, but high schools are now drawing towards better equipment.

All except for a few of my movies, they were made with other students, with a student cast and crew, another way to define a student film. In high school, we had to use our fellow students in our films. I did make one movie where I actually casted students from the drama department, rather than use someone directly from the film class. Not the best actor, but I don't think anyone had tried that before. They both go hand in hand.
It really depends on the student's capablilities that defines it to look like a student film, an indepedent film, or a Hollywood movie. The story is what really generates a movie, but to define a student film, you really have to distinguish the look of it

Oh, so a "student film" is exactly what it sounds like. Yes, I have seen many such films and made a few, although I was never in a filmmaking class (just fooling around in Krakow with a digital video camera, then editing it so it made sense on iMovie on my Mac). My brother, with whom I am presently estranged, made many films in college. Before that he made stop action films with GI Joes. His last good film was called Ennui and it was shown in many festivals. It was quite good, and all done on Super 8. It concerned a girl who spouts radical feminist jargon as well as postmodern mumbo-jumbo and kills her boyfriends and cannibalizes them. He shot it beautifully in black and white. I think it ran 14 minutes or so. So yes, I like student films.
