Someone swiped my edge

This is a new find. It is a great hat ,however it seems the previous owner cut the edge of the brim off. still it is comfortable and I love the color.

This is what happens when you don't pay attention.I saw the tall crown and the color and then just bid. The brim is 2-3/16ths. It is a nice hat though.

Which means it was at least a 2 1/2 brim before the desecration! Larger brimmed Cavanaghs are scarce compared to their narrow-brimmed brethren. It's still a beautiful hat.

I agree that the edge was cut. Do you like bound edge hats. :eusa_doh:

I bet in the next 5 years "Brad Bowers" will have the hat bodies with the Cav. edge once again.

That edge could be re-bound if you want to.

I think I will keep this one as is. It was buy first and I got the answer to my question later.
I have many bound edged hats so I won't complain about my own mistake.
