i've looked at that blog many times. there is a ton of good info on it for home tailors.

i'm surprised by the 150 number of that cloth (if the cloth really is as 'sturdy' as he says it is) but still think it wouldn't please an old vintage fabric curmudgeon like me.

I second that opinion, but I think that is nice to see that not all of the Super fabrics are as weak as we tought. What I really would like is to find a good, resistant fabric that can at least emulate what we can find on our vintage examples. I actually have a 30 something year old Navy Flannel cut, and I hope to have a suit made with it one day, but I wonder where cound you find a fabric that can really stand the test of time like they once did...
