Has anyone had experience with doing this and have some tips for me? I went a bit crazy last week and have all the required materials at hand except for the finishing materials. Any recommendations? Thinking waxes right now.

Step I'll take:
1. Clean the jacket
2. Deglaze the jacket with Fiebings deglazer until matte and let the solvent evaporate
3. Apply Fiebings black pro dye until in thin coats until satisfied, let it dry
4. Buff the jacket until no dye is coming off anymore
5. Apply wax and buff
6. Apply black protective cream from Saphir

I will post progress pics throughout this process

Interested in seeing the results.
I'm currently wearing in a pair of horshide pants but the only horshide pants available here are teacore. I'm not looking forward to the brown stage but will live with just [to] match horsehides. I won't re-dye them if it means losing the gloss though!

Have you gotten around to trying it out yet?
