Super thick CXL cafe racer - who does the best pattern?

Probably too late but it seems like a beaded collar would fit the bill for a Cafe with heavy hide. The Vanson Star flat track has one.

Jacket has arrived!! Fit is amazing as you’d expect from JL. 5oz overdye CXL is thick, waxy yet not as stiff as I’d anticipated. You can see how thick the hide is from the sleeves opening. The back and sides are made from the same thickness hide.

I’m pleasantly surprised the team at JL used a thinner hide for the collar - I did not specify this - they just knew a thinner hide would make the collar more comfortable- and I can’t feel any weight on my neck when wearing this!

And the shoulders and elbow patches took me over the moon.

I was originally looking for a 5oz LW CR but the pattern didn’t fit me - I’m so glad I ordered this from JL and the team really pulled this off.

At 3KG, this is a beast of a jacket given its unlined and a straight zip. I wanted it unlined so it’s a summer jacket and if any threads rip I can fix things easily myself.

Thank you! JL happened to have this leather in stock and it’s a great grainy one. I was going to order 6oz from Horween at a bit extra cost, but glad went for this one!
