Commemorate the Battle of Sydney with Sydney Ferries

In 1942 war came to Sydney when the Japanese attacked from the sea and sunk the ferry Kuttabul.

To mark the 65th anniversary of this event, come on board the Lady Herron as she retraces the course taken by the three Japanese midget submarines that entered Sydney Harbour.

Retrace the path of the Japanese submarines with expert commentary by Mel Mayer accompanied by the sounds of the 1940s from jazz trio Moondance.

On Friday 1 June 2007, Sydney Ferries will offer two tours for this event departing from Circular Quay.


Lunch time tour, 1 June 2007
Depart Circular Quay at 11.00am
Return at 1.00pm
Tickets: Adult $45.00, Child $30.00

Afternoon tour, 1 June 2007
Depart Circular Quay at 1.30pm.
Return at 3.30pm
Tickets: Adult $45.00, Child $30.00

You can also buy tickets from Sydney Ferries ticket outlet at Circular Quay Wharf 4 from Wednesday 2 May 2007.

Child tickets apply for any children from 4 to 15 years of age inclusive. Children under 4 travel free.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase on board. You can also bring your own food however you can not bring alcohol on board. Strictly no smoking.
