The demolitions term is "dust initiator". It is in essence a "dry" fuel air explosive.

Not sure if there's a YouTube video but any good demo manual should have a description.

Much like a liquid FAE, you have a kicker charge to spread your dust cloud, can be almost anything, and then an ignitor charge to set it off.

Works off of overpressure due to the rapid expansion and then vacuum contraction.

Absolutely deadly in enclosed spaces, like the aforementioned accidental grain silo explosions, which usually occur during filling when the fine dust has filled the available air space and the static charge built up by the moving grain causes an igniting spark.

Good way to damage a modern building with a high volume central air system if you can get access to the roof intakes.

Next time you have a campfire or barbeque, spritz some corn starch above the flames. It won't be enclosed so you won't get the pressure effects, but you should get a nice fireball.
