Nice lids. I notice you have all different sizes. Do you just collect even sizes that may not fit you, or do you resell?Marque Grand Luxe, 5X, Nembo.
I wear a 7 1/4, but I'll sometimes buy a 7 3/8 if I love it enough, and I'll buy any 7 1/8 and stretch it to fit.Nice lids. I notice you have all different sizes. Do you just collect even sizes that may not fit you, or do you resell?
Beautiful hat. Can't make out the model name on the right though. Can you tell what it says?Velva Extra Superiore Muflone
Very nice. Strange that this label doesn't have a colour name.Pesca Extra Superiore, no color given.
Stellar hat. Great shape and amarena is a wonderful colour. If I'm reading it right the model name is Loiasti, which isn't a model we have seen before.Peluche, Extra Superiore, Amarena. Has $20 OPS tag from 1951-53.
Another beauty. Sfinge is the felt colour, Cuoia is the colour of the ribbon. The c. stands for cinta (ribbon)Pesca, Extra Superiore, Color is either Cuoio or Sfinge. This hat has 2 1/4 brim, all others shown are 2 1/2.
You're really killing it here. Fabulous hat. Nembo is a rare colour; only have seen one other hat in that colour.Marque Grand Luxe, 5X, Nembo.

What a jawdropping series of Borsalinos. I'm in awe.

Always liked the color muflone.Velva Extra Superiore Muflone
What a beauty, Randall. Looks like a nice wide ribbon, too.Stamped 1956 or 8 on the tag, idk.
Great suede finish on the Thirty. A few moth nibbles to keep it humble. Still, a fedora to make this ole country boy proud!
Has stitched over welt that doesn’t penetrate the under side. A fine specimen that didn’t even need shaping. Rare for me. Just brush, swipe the sweat with a wet cloth wear and enjoy!
Man, Mike’s got some beauties up there, don’t he?! View attachment 471057 View attachment 471058 View attachment 471059 View attachment 471060
He sure does, but this Thirty is no slouch either. Because you wanted my opinion on the label, here it is. It's an American market label, that you don't see on European market Borsalino hats. But even for American market Borsalinos they are a rare exception, because most American market Borsalinos have the usual labels. We don't know if they were put in the hats by the importer or by Borsalino. I have a hat sold by Rogers Peet, which has the same label (in a different size of course):Stamped 1956 or 8 on the tag, idk.

That one doesn't have the usual Borsalino label either. What is unusual about your label is that it has the date on it. Likely that was done by the retailer.
No way of telling. Gorasgus come in quite a variety, so who knows? Interesting is that mine says Fu-L, like in Fu Lazzaro, but it isn't one. Thanks, guys!
And thanks, Stefan for the info.
Do ya think that “G” may stand for Gorusgu?
