A little late on this one. I fear Dinerman's advice is good - re: bringing the front of the diamond down. As it is (was) it looks abysmal. The ribbon doesn't help.

I've been gaining more confidence with my creasing of late (I said confidence, not skill!), and reworked the Grandfather's Hat a little. I thought it might qualify for membership over here:

Thanks Bob. I really enjoy the hat. I'd call it a medium grey. I guess that picture does show a little brown, but I never pick up that in real life. The ribbon is definitely a cool grey.

I wear it everyday with a navy or charcoal suit and it's smashing. If I can help you with your decision by taking any more pictures, please shoot me a PM.

Before going to Krispy Kreme, I decided to reread this entire thread. There are so many wonderful examples here. The six-point diamond isn't seen often but here are some nice examples.

MrH's Dobbs is a 4-point but he almost has a sharp cross in the dome
