The meaning of Guild Edge?

I just purchased a Dobbs and in the band is an icon that says "Guild Edge". I have not seen this mark in other hats that I can recall and am curious as to its meaning. Then again, I don't own many hats yet so, this could be fairly common.

I have one of these too on a Dobbs Twenty of mine. I think that this is the Dobbs trade name for what is commonly known as a Cavanagh Edge. I could be wrong....

'Tis true, 'tis true, Guild Edge is Dobbs' name for the Cavanagh Edge. I've been working on tracking down when the various names from the different manufacturers were in use, but haven't got too far yet.
