I've been looking around for a Stetson Pinnacle lately, having owned a beaver felt fedora back in the Seventies. (I treasured that hat, and then left it in a bar. Of course, when I went back, it was gone. Who wants somebody else's old hat?)
Anyway, Barry Carter had been visiting the Hatco place in Garland, Texas, and he'd accumulated a few of them, and this week, he put some up in Classifieds, some grey, some black. I grabbed a black and a grey, and they got here today, and man, they are the real deal.
The black one has a black ribbon, which I think I might have changed, and the grey is just a classic.
Good things come to him who keeps looking.
Barry Carter is a great American.
