For many years I've bought vintage hats; you name it. My proudest find is the Stetson that is the exact duplicate of the hat worn in the Blues Brothers for $1 at the Goodwill. However, everything has been vintage up to this point.
I just placed an order for an Akubra Federation so I too can have a Brown Fedora. No, not gonna be Indy, but the style is just too good lookin'.
I researched on Indygear.com and this hat seemed like the best bang for my dollar. I am a little freaked on having to bash it myself but I think I can do it.
No all I need is a tweed suit when and I can finally be cool when I go to campus.

The Akubra Fed is the only contemporary hat in my stable & I think it is a peach... you will not be disappointed.
As to the bash, don't let that throw you, there are abundant resources, both here & on Club Obi Wan (COW) & this felt is TOUGH, you would have to work darn hard to ruin this hat.
