The synopsis of the movie on the site is rather strange. It seems to be playing on the angle that Richthofen realized the "futility of war" and was upset with his use as a propaganda tool. I have never read anything that said this. If it is made up just for the movie, I think it does Richthofen a big disservice.
It's something that's only recently come out that he didn't like the propaganda, but did it because he was a nationalist. Richthofen was by all accounts a very private man, who really would rather just fly his planes and be left alone, and it's my understanding this is what the movie is going off of.
