Here's my Erko Velour, with no other markings on it anywhere. Lovely felt, and very soft flexible thin leather in the sweatband, it needed a clean and steam and is now as you see it. My size too.
I'd removed and put back the ribbon, for cleaning, and since taking these photos removed that ugly stitch next to the bow.

Wow that is great! Not many lighter color old Velours survived. Was there an attempted fix to the ribbon (replaced?) and sweat? My feeling is this one is German or Austrian (or at least the felt body). Where did you find it? I have an Erko Velour and it's fantastic. Would you mind putting this in the German - Austrian thread?

The sweat is as it came to me, the stitching is hand done and not the finest, as is obvious in the photo, so I suppose it to have been fixed at some point, the sweat is old though. The ribbon is the one with which the hat came, which I took off for cleaning and reattached, the ill placed stitch near the bow is now removed and much the better for it.
I saw this hat in a job lot of ten hats on UK ebay, and bid on it on the off chance of it being something like it turned out to be. I got the ten hats including delivery for £10 (about $6!), making this the best £1 hat I own! The other hats are all German, of widely varying vintage, not all bad, but none near the same quality.

Lecky, Thank you for the additional information. Yes you got an amazing deal! My guess is that it is at least 1930s could be earlier. It is most likely the non reeded sweatband came loose and it was reattached. I have the feeling the ribbon was either replaced or fixed because a hat of this quality would not have such an awkward stitch. May I ask the size? I would like to see the other hats if possible.

I did come across a similar velour Hückel of similar quality, and also well worn, in a vintage clothes boutique in Munich last week in about a size 60. Since I only really buy to wear I left it without asking the price (there were some other lovely old hats in Munich too...)
I'll post this hat and another, in the German hat thread, and the other hats from that lot as I clean and steam them.

Most of them are tiny so to find one in 58cm is fantastic! Look forward to seeing other finds!

The black Velours were by far the most popular pre WWII so you see more of them. Also most of the lighter color ones (if you can find them) have felt damage or are very tiny.

Borsalino "Angora" Idorsca 5.5" x 2 3/4" pre-1950s
I finally found a long hair finish in a light color. Quite surprisingly, there is not a single moth track anywhere, not even along the ribbon or behind the (now removed and stored) feather set. This hat was definitely worn, but it's still in perfect shape.
The felt itself is fantastic, as expected. The finish is very even - just beautiful. The felt color is similar to the Winchester Sahara but slightly cooler, almost with a silver hue to it.
A finish like this needs to be paired with the rougher textures of winter cloths. I'll be wearing it with a Harris Tweed DB Overcoat and high polished shoes.
So far, I brushed the hat as usual, using a large horsehair shoebrush. I wonder whether it makes sense to use a still finer brush (like the ones for cashmere) afterwards, or a Velvet Polishing Pad (usually intended for polishing top hats) to align the long hair even more, thus enhancing the sheen? Any experiences?

Model - it's the only part of the sticker that I can read: Idorsca. Rhymes with Natalsca... I wonder if Borsalino ever used real words for their model names...

While I have this thread's attention, any experiences on using a velvet polishing pad (usually intended for polishing top hats) to align the long hair even more, thus enhancing the sheen? Haven't got one yet, but would be able to order one from Lock & Co just for the Borsalino Angora.

Nik, Super find with the Borsalino "Angora" Idorsca! It looks fantastic! Interesting idea regarding velvet polishing pad. I was thinking of getting one for my Top hats but haven't yet.
Iyor, The VEL-COMB is very interesting. I haven't seen anything like that before. It would be great to find one.
