Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I can't speak for movie studios, but most theatres have been through several rebuilds and modernizations over the last 40-50 years - due to the enormous development of tech-equipment. In that process much "old stuff" has been dumped. Disastrous, yes - but space is always a problem [huh]
A lot of movie costumes came from costume rental outfits. They maintained large warehouses full of all kinds of costumes. The stars would have costumes made for them, the rest got rentals. In the case of B movies often they rented everything.
Auctions are held periodically to cull the wardrobe and property warehouses. It's mostly dealers bidding so you'll eventually see the items offered for sale in shops and online. Nothing gets thrown out.Something tells me no, they probably just donated them or dumped them as the theatre does.
